Free Tools Galaxy publishes free online calculators and explanatory articles. This policy describes how that content is created, reviewed, kept accurate, and corrected. Our goal is simple: every tool should give a result you can trust, and every article should be clear, useful, and honest about its limits.

Who writes and reviews our content

Tools and articles are produced by the Free Tools Galaxy editorial team and reviewed before publication. Calculators are checked against the underlying formula and against at least one independent reference before they go live. When a topic touches health, money, or law, we add a plain-language disclaimer and point readers to qualified professionals.

Our accuracy standard

Every calculator uses the standard, documented formula for its subject and runs in double-precision arithmetic. We test representative inputs by hand and compare outputs to reputable third-party tools. Where a figure depends on rules that change over time — tax brackets, contribution limits, benefit rates — we date the information and review it on a recurring schedule.

Use of AI

We use software assistance, including AI, to help draft and format explanatory text. AI is a drafting aid, not the final authority: formulas, numbers, and claims are verified by the editorial team against primary sources before publication. We do not publish machine-generated text as fact without that human review.

Corrections

If you find an error, email us via the contact page and we will investigate. When we confirm a mistake we fix it promptly and, for material corrections, note the update date on the affected page. We would rather be corrected than be wrong.

Independence

Our tools are free and we do not accept payment to alter a calculation, a ranking, or a recommendation. The site is supported by advertising, which is kept separate from editorial decisions. Advertisers cannot influence the content, results, or ordering of our tools.
